Actually, the only thing I don't have a backup of is my OS drive. I am not worried about my games since many are on Steam, Origin, and the ones that are not I have hard copies of. Same goes for the software I don't want to loose. So if a drive fails, I don't loose much, just a pain to reinstall it all on a new drive. I also have 2 external USB enclosures, both have 320GB IDE drives in them, that I use for disk images, ROM's, media, and things of that nature. So I have backups of all of that as well.
Once prices drop back down to more realistic levels, I may look into RAID. Just not something I want to get into at the moment considering the cost and time.
Yeah, I have well over 400GB of games, both on Steam and off. It sounds so bad when you put it like that. haha
Considering the space many modern games take up, it adds up fast. Just doing a quick calculation, I have a little over 600GB worth of games installed at the moment, with more I have not yet had time to install (and probably wont for a while).
That's 96 games (I think, quick count). Not including all the source ports, emulators, ROM's, and mods.
Dear lord that really does sound bad. haha
I can't possibly play that much, obviously, but I like to play what I want to play when I want to play it. I don't want to have to wait on an install if I decide I want to play something on a whim, hence why I have so much installed at once. I have always been that way. Problem is, that these days, the installs are getting larger and larger. heh
