If Quake was done today... and my thoughts about the general gaming community today.Sat at 5:36
it might be that kids today spend too much time online, and arent out in the real social world where acting like that would have you getting your ass kicked, there's no penalty anymore for being an asshole, so they just do as they please. need to make an app that smashes a beer bottle over your head when you act like that. Yeah, an empty beer bottle, no need to punish the beer for the stupidity of others. haha I like how your mind works commie :)
If Quake was done today... and my thoughts about the general gaming community today.Fri at 13:56
Thats a great rant Shadow, and I agree with it 110%. It's a sad state the modern gaming industry and community is in, at least in my opinion, it really is nothing like it used to be even just a few years ago. Granted, I am an "older" gamer, but a lot of the subject matter you touch on is really only exploded into the mass pile of crap it is today over about the last 5-7 years or so, give or take. To kind of expand on it a little. You know some of the gaming related work and tasks I do on the side. I see these attitudes carry over heavily...
Official DICE servers disappear from Battlefield 3May 14, 12
Well, this should make you happy Mavutt :) Earlier this week, reports surfaced claiming that official DICE servers for the console versions of Electronic Arts' Battlefield 3 were disappearing, leaving only privately rented destinations to play on. This is not the case, EA told GameSpot today. DICE is keeping its Battlefield 3 servers online, says EA. "DICE is not shutting down servers," an EA representative told GameSpot this afternoon. "If DICE-managed servers appear unavailable, it is because they have been rented and customized by...
Official DICE servers disappear from Battlefield 3May 12, 12
Yeah, I was trying to avoid what shadow is talking about. It's also a dark side of dedicated server rentals. Again, something PC gamers are having to put up with as well, now will make its way to console. EA has got a lot of bad press over the past year with its money making practices. This is one of the reasons EA stock was at a 52 week low not too long ago. Shadow is not kidding with a "tax" per slot on BF3 serves. All server providers have to pay this, that means they have to pass that cost on to the customer renting the server, thus rai...
Official DICE servers disappear from Battlefield 3May 12, 12
I think DICE just totally screwed the console players big time. This has to be one of the worst decisions they've made yet, other than pairing with EA -.- All I ever played on was official DICE servers to begin with, looks like yet another game that's now in my collection for the single player only. I think the main problem is that console gamers have been screaming for private and dedicated server support for a long time. DICE answered that call and made it happen with BF3. Now, the console gamers get all the benefits of dedicated server...

My thoughts. This is reason # 72 why I am a PC gamer as I believe it to be superior in just about every way to modern consoles. :) Yeah, this does not apply to PC, only the console versions of BF3, all I can really say is .... Sucks to be them?. Followed by ... "Cry about it, PC gamers have had to put up with that since the very first community and privat;y hosted servers went online, just live with it and move the hell on. Find good servers, favorite them, problem solved." Might sound somewhat harsh, but hey, it's really how I look a...
Post a MovieMay 7, 12
Heh, I could not answer that. Movies are something I can not pick a single favorite. I try, and I constantly think of more and more that can all easily share the "favorite" title. There are jsut too many good movies out there to pick a single favorite for me. :)
Post a MovieMay 3, 12
haha, yeah, always did like that movie a lot. Even tough it's representation and portrayal of "hacking" was pure Hollywood fiction. Just a fun movie to watch, forgiving it's total lack of reality, like most movies. lol :)

Steam Coming to Linux & Gabe Newell negative about the future of Windows OS.Apr 26, 12
Well, I am not talking about Linux as a threat to Windows, just the gaming aspect and DirectX. I mean, I am not trying to come off sounding like a Linux hater, that's far from the truth, but Linux really has no chance at upsetting Microcraps ... err .. softs ... dominance of the world OS market in the foreseeable future. Sure, it's a threat to their bottom line, they will loose money to it (mainly in the server market), but not so much a threat in the home and end user markets. They will still post massive profits every year, and they will stil...
